15 th  of August, 1947 is the most important day in the Indian history. On this day, India became independent after a lot of hard struggle. This day is chosen as the special day to remember the history and sacrifices of Indian freedom fighter. Every year, this event is celebrated in the National Capital, New Delhi and millions of the people take part. The Prime Minister of India unfurled the National Flag and many interesting tasks are performed by Indian Army. This day is celebrated in school, colleges etc.  On 15 th of August, it has been declared a National holiday and every school, office, colleges remain closed.
